The Spring Term for The Next Generation youth groups commences on Sunday 10th January 2016 and runs up until Easter.
Junior Youth Groups will be covering the following series:
- Stop! – Growing with Jesus
As the church sermon series looks at discipleship, for the youth this short series is an opportunity to look at growth as a disciple of Jesus through prayer and the Bible.
- Doubt & Fear – Dealing with life’s hard feelings
As the season of Lent starts, this short series deals with the uncertainties faced by followers of Jesus in doubts and fears and how to face up to them.
- Revelation – The present future
Through this Bible study series, the junior youth join the wider church on its focus on Revelation, though covering a wider spectrum of the book. As we build up to Easter, the series gears up towards the celebration and restoration found in the risen Christ.
Senior Youth Groups will be covering the following series:
- The Grey Areas – Responding when the Bible seems silent
As youths’ lives become more and more complex in a society that constantly challenges morality, this series seeks to point them towards following Jesus in their daily lives, for the rest of their lives.
- Exposed – Tackling those big teenage issues
As the Lent season begins, this series is a chance for youths to examine the influences that shape their life experiences. Each session offers a dose of biblical truth to form a new perspective on an old issue with practical takeaways for adolescence.
- Identity – How do I fit in?
As we prepare for Easter, this series offers the chance to engage in thought-provoking conversations about what it means to live a Jesus-centred life. Youths will discover that their identity lies in their Saviour and not in false hopes or worldly fads.
There will be a number of special events throughout the term including the Exploring Baptism Course, Youth Celebration Service, Parents’ Forums & Easter Camp.
