    We are looking for a full-time candidates with strong calling to serve as pastor or pastoral worker. The pastoral staff will be expected to preach and teach God’s Word, provide pastoral care, train lay leaders, develop the Cantonese ministry in Hammersmith and assisting the out-reach ministry in Kingston, and taking on church-wide and other ministries responsibilities where appropriate.

    We are seeking friendly, approachable and cooperative teamworking candidates with a servant heart to shepherd our Cantonese speaking community with different background; and to build relationship with our members, staff team and external partners.

    We are seeking an individual who embodies the following qualifications:

    1) Cantonese and English Language Proficiency: Fluency in speaking and written Chinese and English.
    2) Pastoral Experience: We highly value candidates with prior experience in pastoral work, and particularly preparing to nurturing, and spiritually guiding and mentoring young leaders.
    3) Ideal condition: Having counselling experience.
    4) Service groups: caring for sisters groups, family ministry and working youth ministry.
    The applicant must hold a degree in theology from a recognised theological college. Ordained pastors are welcome.

    The Next Generation Youth Ministry Vacancy

    The Next Generation Youth Ministry in Croydon Congregation of Chinese Church in London (CCiL) seeks to recruit a suitable Pastoral Intern or Pastoral Worker to join The Next Generation (TNG) department, serving in the Youth Ministry attached to the Croydon Congregation.

    TNG is our ministry for young people, with Kids Church for primary school ages and Youth Ministry for secondary school ages, with groups across the centres of CCiL. Our vision is to see a generation rise up to live out a lasting faith in Jesus Christ.

    We welcome applications from theological students or those with a minimum of Diploma in Theology, even if experience is limited. Fluency in English is essential and competence in Chinese is strongly desired as most of the families are from Cantonese or Mandarin backgrounds.

    Full-time TNG Ministry Coordinator Vacancy

    Chinese Church in London (CCiL) seeks to recruit a suitable Ministry Coordinator to join The Next Generation (TNG) department.

    The Next Generation Ministry (TNG) serves 400+ children and youths from families across the Chinese Church in London, belonging to all congregations in our Cantonese, Mandarin and English language-based ministries. We have pastoral staff for Kids Church and Youth Ministry who currently oversee teams of volunteers to lead fifteen ministry groups, with more soon to be established. Additional support is required for the overall coordination, administration and operation of this church-wide ministry.

    The role of the TNG Ministry Coordinator is to provide operational support to the pastoral staff, as part of the ministry team. Under the direction of the Pastor, the TNG Ministry Coordinator is responsible for: day-to-day ministry administration and communication; data management; policy compliance; coordination of participants and volunteers; scheduling and planning of events, meetings, training and camps in the ministry calendar; liaising with the Admin & Finance team and leaders of the wider church community, thus contributing to the safe and smooth delivery of activities and projects within the ministry strategy.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    This role is suited to a dedicated and organised individual who is gifted in administration, with a heart for the disciple-making vision, mission and values of the church, thus contributing to the spiritual growth of our young people.

    Fluency in English is essential and basic proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is also desired. This role does not require a formal theological qualification, but good standard of education to at least Diploma/Degree level, does require relevant ministry experience and a working familiarity with data protection regulations and relevant IT systems.

    Further training will be provided upon appointment, including in safeguarding policy and procedures.

    Due to the nature of the ministry, the role holder must be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, to be agreed upon appointment. Full-time weekly hours 40 across 5 days.
