70 Days Prayer Journey 2021 – Daily Prayer Booklets

Dear church family and friends,

First of all, we welcome you to the 70 Days Prayer Journey launched by the Chinese Church in London in 2021. As we have celebrated the 70th anniversary of our church, with our thankfulness to God and our expectation for the future, we are eager to commit to prayer, as we begin this year of 2021, which is full of uncertainty.

This journey begins on January 18th, last for 70 days until the Holy Week. During this journey, we encourage you to use the Daily Prayer Materials to facilitate your prayer. This year, the materials we use are adopted from the Saddleback Church, including “40 Days of Prayer” and “Experiencing God’s Power through Prayer”. You may use these materials for personal prayer and devotion, but we also encourage you to experience this amazing journey with two brothers or sisters in POT (Power of Three), in order to build one another.

Pastor Rick Warren, the Senior Pastor of the Saddleback Church shared that there are six principles about spiritual growth. Which means, if we are really serious about growing our spirituality, we need to understand:

  1. We grow when we feed on God’s word.
  2. We grow when we learn in different ways.
  3. We grow when we develop spiritual habits.
  4. We grow when we help each other grow.
  5. We grow when we expect to grow.
  6. We grow when we commit to grow.

Perhaps we failed to establish good spiritual habits in the past, or we stumbled and fell a lot on the way of spiritual growth. But this year, by God’s grace, let us be rooted in God’s word, commit ourselves to prayer every day, build one another’s spiritual lives by patient listening and active sharing.

As apostle Paul prayed, we also pray that “out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19)
