The government has made announcements on the 4 Steps out of lockdown for England, and Step 3 was rolled out on Monday 17 May. Step 4 planned for June was postponed to 19 July 2021.

In addition to following the government guidance, the church has the responsibility to look after the well-being of its members and to provide a safe environment for its staff and people to come to worship God. This is in line with the biblical teaching of “love your neighbour as yourself” (Matt 22:39) and “let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Phil 2:4)  The guidance is given in the spirit of upholding these principles.
