Youth Spring Term 2017

The Spring Term for our Youth Ministry commences on Sunday 8th January 2017 and runs until Sunday 2nd April 2017, before the Easter Holidays.

Please refer to The Next Generation pages to find out more about our ministry groups and our disciple-making process, plus dates and details of events throughout the term.

Junior Youth Groups will be covering the following series:

  • Created in God’s Image – Seeing Yourself the Way Jesus Sees You

    Created in God's Image

During the ‘Countercultural Discipleship’ sermon series, our junior youth will be looking at what it means to be created in God’s image. Young people face social standards that lead to self-image struggles, but God offers affection and purpose for them as his creation masterpieces.

  • The Right Habits – Making Choices That Draw You Closer to Jesus

    The Right Habits

As our church journeys through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and the Disciples’ Prayer in Matthew’s Gospel, our junior youth will also be examining the right habits for deep spiritual growth. Every person has a mix of good and bad habits. Our good habits might help us stay healthy or make wise choices while our bad habits might take us down roads that lead to unwise choices. The habits in this series will draw our young people closer to Jesus and help them grow to centre their lives on him.

Senior Youth Groups will be covering the following series:

  • Matthew – Christ Our Teacher

    Matt

This five-week series on the Gospel of Matthew takes an in-depth look at the example Jesus sets for us in both actions and words. Focusing primarily on Jesus’ teachings, this study will challenge our senior youths to be exposed to what an authentic faith looks like and what it means to be a disciple.

  • Life With JesusGrowing Spiritually Deep

    Life With Jesus

Lent is a season for learning and practising spiritual discipline so that we grow deeply. This series equips young people, who have experienced life-changing transformation in Jesus, to grow in these important aspects of their faith journey, and to give those who have not the opportunities to get a taste, ask questions, explore the Bible and draw near to Jesus.
