Franki & Cindy Yip

Working with WEC UK

Franki and Cindy were both born in Hong Kong.

Franki came to the UK in 1985 to continue his education. CCiL was the place where he came to Christ, was baptised and received his first call into mission. He moved to Cardiff to continue his study after 2 years. Worked as a town planner & transport planner, he was involved in the strategic development of Cardiff in the 90s.

On the other hand, Cindy left for the UK to continue her study in 1984. She came to Christ in September 1989. Soon after that she moved to Cardiff to continue her education. By profession, she is a registered pharmacist and has been practising since 1993. It was in Cardiff that she was baptised and received her calling into mission.

At the turn of the millennium, Franki & Cindy together with their two young children left their home, church, school and jobs in Cardiff to embark on a new and exciting chapter with God. Both of them completed their cross cultural mission training in Redcliffe College (2000 to 2003). From 2004 to 2011, they left the UK and served in West Asia as a family.

In the summer of 2011, they felt led by the Lord and returned to the UK for a season. They are now based in the UK headquarter of WEC International and serve as ministry staff. Their main ministry focuses are:

  • Inspiring, Mobilising & Equipping the UK church for cross cultural mission
  • Developing multiculturalism, member care & Diaspora mobilisation at strategic

They see this season as an integral part of their long term mission. They would love to see a new generation of mission workers joining them in the near future.
